There’s no doubt that the Anthem Community Park is a highlight of living in the award-winning community of Anthem. But what should you do when you get there? Let’s check it out!
Hey there! Welcome back to our blog! I’m Lindsay, with the Wise Move AZ Team at RealtyONE Group. If you want to stay up to date on all things Anthem and Real Estate then you need to subscribe to our YouTube Channel. Pro Tip: You’re also going to want to hit that little bell icon while you’re over there, so that you’re the first to know when our new videos are posted every single Thursday!
As your Anthem, Arizona REALTOR® I love showing off our fabulous community and everything it has to offer. There is so much to do at the Anthem Community Park, I could go on ALL DAY. But I promise I will try to keep this short and sweet so that you can get out there and enjoy the park in person! If I don’t answer your questions about the park in this post, drop me a comment below and I will get back to you!
At the end of this post I’ll also give you exclusive access to our guide of “10 Activities you Won’t Want to Miss in Anthem”, just in case you’re looking for things to do beyond the Anthem Community Park. So, make sure you stick around until the end.
The Anthem Community Park is conveniently located right in the heart of Anthem, at 41703 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway. It is open from 6AM-10PM daily and it spans over 60 acres!
The park is beautifully maintained by the Anthem Community Council. If you want more information on the Anthem Community Council, check out this video.
Alright, so what can you do at the Anthem Community Park?
Play, Play, & Play Some More at the Adventure & Discovery Playgrounds
These playgrounds are open from 8AM to Sunset daily.
Cool Off at the Splash Pad
If you are coming to the Anthem Community Park during the warmer months of the year, be sure to pack a swimsuit. You’ll find the Splash Pad inside the Adventure Playground.
Go Fishing
Yup, you read that right. I said fishing, in the middle of the desert. The Anthem Community Park has catch & release fishing lakes. Pack your gear and find a quiet spot. Please note that only barbless hooks are permitted in these lakes. Also, if you forget any supplies there is an Ace Hardware just across the street.
Show Off your Moves at the Skate Park
The skate park is open from 7AM to 9:45PM daily. Please remember to bring a helmet and other protective gear if you are going to be using the skate park.
Play Hockey
The only ice you’ll find at this rink would be in a cup, but the park does have awesome rinks for meeting up with friends and playing some ball hockey!
Play Pickleball
In January 2019, 10 brand new pickleball courts were opened. I have never tried pickleball but now that we have these state of the art facilities, I think I’d better get out there and give it a try!
Reserve the Amphitheater or a Ramada
The Ramadas are a perfect place for a picnic lunch or relaxing in the shade. These can be reserved in advance online. Click here for reservations.
Shoot Some Hoops at the Basketball courts
No explanation needed, just get out there and have some fun!
Bump, Set, and Spike at the Sand Volleyball Courts
Grab your friends and put those volleyball skills to the test! You might just forget you’re not at the beach!
Go for a Train Ride
The Daisy Mountain Railroad is fun for kids and adults alike. With 2,800 feet of track, this is the perfect way to see the park, and scope out your next activity. Be sure to check their hours and prices by clicking here!
Pay your Respects at the Anthem Veterans Memorial
This monument is dedicated to honor the service and sacrifice of our country’s armed forces. Each year on November 11, at 11:11AM, the sun’s rays pass through the ellipses of the five Armed Services pillars to form a solar spotlight on the glass mosaic of the The Great Seal of the United States. If you haven’t attended this service before, we strongly encourage you to check it out.
Get the Team Together and Reserve a Field
Whether you play baseball, soccer, softball, or just need an open multi-use field to practice, you can reserve all of these in advance online.
Stretch your Legs on the Walking Trails
You’ll find plenty of walking trails throughout the park. These are perfect for a leisurely stroll or for taking you from one activity to the next.
So, there you have it! What do you think? Are you going to come visit the Anthem Community Park this weekend? What activity would you be most interested in?
Now, I haven’t forgotten that I promised you a copy of our brand new guide: “10 Activities you Won’t want to Miss in Anthem, Arizona”. If you’re ready to grab your very own copy, simply click here.
