As your Anthem, Arizona REALTORS® and as Anthem homeowners, we love to keep up to date on all things Anthem and share them with you! The new Anthem Community Council Dog Park is a big deal and we are super excited about it!
Progress Update
If you have been following along with the news, you know that ground-breaking for the Dog Park took place on April 22 this year (2019). Since then, it has been a hotbed of activity with no time wasted getting the park ready. They have already completed:
- Tree salvage (they saved a bunch of beautiful trees!)
- site cleaning
- earth work
- rough grading
- fencing and curbing
Come take a stroll with me down Meridian Drive, I want to show you what you can see from a place of safety (watch the full video here). We definitely encourage you to check it out for yourself and to do so on a regular basis, but we would be remiss if we didn’t remind you that, right now, the Dog Park is a construction zone, and, like any construction zone, it is dangerous. Even if you see an opportunity to enter the Dog Park, do not be tempted to go inside and walk around. Be smart and stay safe!
What will the Dog Park Include?
The Dog Park is really starting to take shape! We can see some of the salvaged trees, fences demarcating the off-leash areas, the access area and the parking lot. It is hard to see from our video, so we have provided a links to the Anthem Community Council Dog Park Site Plan where you can see:
- Four off-leash areas, each of which includes:
- a vestibule
- a dog drinking fountain
- a dog waste station
- two shade canopies
- two six foot benches
- a table; and
- a trash receptacle
- A large parking lot; and
- A controlled access entry gate

Just to emphasize how truly blessed we are here in Anthem, the view from the dog park is going to be absolutely gorgeous! We are confident that Anthem’s state of the art dog park is also poised to be one of the most beautiful on this planet!
Access to the Dog Park will be restricted to members and is fee based, the fee is expected to be $50 per year and will include access for two dogs.
HOT TIP: There will be a promotional period announced for members who register early. During the promotional period fees will be reduced to $30 for the first year. Your promotional membership will also include access for two dogs! Watch for the announcement and register early!
