If you’ve been thinking about moving to Anthem, an Anthem Arizona Map would really help when it comes to getting to know the different areas, am I right?
Anthem is an incredible place to call home, but if you’re starting your home search from a distance, it can be tricky to make sense of all of the different areas.
Where should you live?
What’s the difference between Paseo and the Village?
What about Circle Mountain?
By the end of this blog post (or video), you’ll know exactly where all of the different areas are, what types of homes can be found in each and why they may, or may not, be a good fit for you and your family.
If this is your first time here, welcome! My name is Lindsay and I‘m a proud Anthem resident and your local REALTOR® with the Wise Move AZ Team at Realty ONE Group. Award Winning Community
Okay, before we start, can I just brag on Anthem a little bit? If you’ve watched our videos before you know how much we love Anthem, but we aren’t the only ones. Did you know that Anthem has received several awards:
- In 2001 it received ‘Best Master-Planned Community’
- In 2012 it received ‘Best Family Friendly Community’ from Phoenix Magazine
- In 2012 it received ‘Most Family Friendly Community’ from Parenting Magazine
- In 2016 it received ‘Best Master Planned Community for Children’ from Parenting Magazine
And there’s more, but we think you get the gist. Anthem is awesome.
Get to Know Anthem
Anthem is a Master-Planned Community by Del Webb. It was started in 1999 and almost completely built out by 2008, but more on that later. Anthem is located in Maricopa County. It’s about 34 miles north of Downtown Phoenix on the I-17. Anthem is tucked into the base of Daisy Mountain, in the Sonoran Desert, and it is beautiful here.
Population
According to the 2010 census the population of Anthem was roughly 22,000 people, but this has undoubtedly increased in the years since 2010. I will be excited to see what the numbers are once the latest Census results are released.
Interactive Map
I am going to give you access to an interactive map, you can use to see the different areas of Anthem, and what’s even better, it’s a Google Map, so you don’t have to download any software or anything. If you want to follow along with me as I go through this post, just click here. Otherwise, you can click the link at the end of the post and bookmark it for future house hunting.
Home Prices and HOA Fees
In the hopes of keeping this video as timeless and useful as possible, I’m not going to be talking about house prices or HOA fees. Those things can change. That being said, in the ‘Additional Resources’ section below this post, you’ll find up to date links to shop for homes in all the different areas of Anthem, so you can check out what’s available at any time. Additionally, you can download a copy of the most up to date HOA Fees here.
It’s important to us that you have access to the most up to date information, and this is the best way to do that.
The Neighborhoods
Alright, now that we’ve got all of that house-keeping stuff out of the way let’s talk about the different areas you can live in Anthem and what makes them unique:
#1: Anthem Country Club
Anthem Country Club is located in the north-easternmost part of Anthem.
This is the private, guard-gated, golf and country club in Anthem. It has 2,866 homes. The homes range in size from about 1,000 square feet to over 6,000 square feet. All of the homes in Anthem Country Club are single family detached homes, and they are all single story homes…except for that one three-story house.
Residents of Anthem Country Club have access to the Persimmon and Ironwood Golf Courses and Clubhouses, which includes tennis, pickleball, gyms, pools, restaurants, and so much more. If you want to check out the clubhouses, I encourage you to click here to watch a more detailed tour we did.
Before we head into the next area, I need to explain something. Anthem is divided into two major areas, Anthem Country Club and Anthem Parkside. Anthem Parkside is made up of a total of 7,229 homes. That being said, there are SO many different areas within Anthem Parkside that I want to highlight for you. All of the following areas are part of Anthem Parkside, but they have features that make them unique and special places to live. Okay, let’s keep going.
#2: Anthem Parkside East
Anthem Parkside East refers to all homes within Anthem Parkside on the east side of the I-17. Anthem Parkside East is largely made up of single family detached homes, although there are small pockets of patio homes, apartments, and condos, but more on this later. There is a healthy mix of single story and two story homes in Anthem Parkside East.
In Anthem Parkside East you will find the Anthem Dog Park, the Anthem Community Center, the famous Anthem Community Park, and the Anthem Water Park. There are also many pocket parks throughout the community. All Anthem residents have access to theses amenities, no matter what area of Anthem they live in, so don’t worry if you find yourself living in another part of Anthem. Additionally, you will find grocery stores, restaurants, doctors offices, gyms, and pretty much anything you could need sprinkled throughout Anthem Parkside East. Anthem Parkside East, as a whole, is not gated.
#3: The Village at Anthem
The Village at Anthem is a gated community within Anthem Parkside East.
It is made up of 210 condominium homes. It is located very close to shopping and the Anthem Community Park. Residents of the Village have access to their own private pool, spa, gym, and community grill area. The condos in the Village range in size from roughly 1,200 square feet to a little over 1,600 square feet.
If condo living with extra amenities and landscaping that is taken care of for you is your thing, then you are going to want to click here to watch our detailed video tour of the Village.
#4: The Landings
Located very close to the Village, The Landings is another really unique and cool part of Anthem Parkside East.
The Landing is a gated community with single family detached homes. There are roughly 186 homes in this area of Anthem. In the Landings you will find primarily single story homes, although there are some two-story homes as well. This neighborhood also includes it’s own park, and some of the homes have sweeping views of the Persimmon Golf Course in Anthem Country Club. It’s beautiful. The homes in the Landings range in size from about 1,200 square feet to over 2,400 square feet.
We did a full video tour of the Landings, so if you’d like to check it out in more detail, simply click here.
#5: Paseo
Paseo is another really fun neighborhood within Anthem Parkside East.
This is a community of approximately 135 patio homes. The landscaping in this neighborhood is overseen by the Anthem Community Council, and they do a beautiful job of maintaining lush open green spaces. The homes in Paseo are all two-stories, and they range in size from 1,460 to 1,871 square feet. One of my absolute favorite things about this charming Anthem neighborhood is the proximity to the Community Park. If you worked from home you could pop over to the park for your lunch break every day! Um, yes please! Paseo is not a gated community.
If you like the idea of owning a patio home and not worrying about landscaping, you definitely want to click here to watch our full tour of Paseo.
#6: Anthem Parkside West
We’re officially heading to the West side of Anthem! Anthem Parkside West includes all of Anthem that is on the West side of the I-17, but I will break that down even further in the next sections.
Anthem Parkside West has a mix of single story and two story, single family detached homes. In Anthem Parkside West you will find the Anthem Outlet Malls, the Hampton Inn, Walmart and so many other essential businesses that make our community so efficient! There are also many pocket parks throughout the community and even the award-winning Opportunity Way Park. Anthem Parkside West is not gated.
Fun Fact: The utility providers, in some cases, vary from the east side of the I-17 to the west side. If you would like more information on that, click here.
#7: Circle Mountain Ranch
Circle Mountain Ranch is Anthem’s newest development.
It‘s expected to be completely built out by the end of 2020, and it added 202 new homes to our amazing community. There were two builders in this community, Pulte and Lennar. The homes range in size from 1,800 to over 3,500 square feet. All of the homes in Circle Mountain are single family detached homes, although some of the homes feature Lennar’s NextGen style of living, which is pretty cool if you have adult children or a parent living with you. There is a mix of single story and two-story homes.
Circle Mountain is not gated. Circle Mountain has it’s own pocket parks, trails, and sweeping views of the mountains. If a new home is what you’re looking for, Circle Mountain is the place to look.
If you would like even more information on Circle Mountain, you are going to want to click here to watch our full tour.
#8: Arroyo Grande
Last, but definitely not least, let’s talk about Arroyo Grande!
Arroyo Grande makes up the western most part of Anthem, and it’s located West of the I-17. This area is slightly removed from the heart of Anthem, and requires residents to use the New River Road exit on the highway. It has a slightly more rural feeling.
The fun thing about Arroyo Grande is that it’s the only part of Anthem where you can store boats and RVs. There are roughly 340 homes in Arroyo Grande, and the majority are single story, although there are definitely plenty of two-story homes as well.
All of the homes in Arroyo Grande are single-family detached homes. The homes in Arroyo Grande range in size from 1,896 square feet to 4,911 square feet. Arroyo Grande has its own pocket park, and it is not a gated community.
We did a more thorough tour of Arroyo Grande in a previous video, so if you’d like to check that out, simply click here.
So, there you have it! What do you think? Was this helpful? Is there an area of Anthem you’re most interested in? I would love to hear from you!
