Are you curious about what’s behind those big iron gates of the Anthem Country Club in Arizona? In the above video we take you beyond the gates and show you all the amazing things that the Anthem Golf and Country Club has to offer! Just press play, watch, and enjoy!
Are you thinking about moving to Anthem? Or maybe you live in the area and you’ve driven by and you’re wondering… what goes on inside those gates?
Either way, as your Anthem, Arizona REALTORS® we drive these streets every day and we’re excited to take you on a guided tour of our favorite parts of Anthem Country Club.
Oh and did we mention, we’ll also include our favorite spot to access the best hike in Anthem?
PERSIMMON
Our first stop on the tour was the Persimmon Clubhouse. This is one of the two Championship golf courses here in the Anthem Country Club. Both courses were designed by Greg Nash. Persimmon is considered to be the more traditional course. The video features just some of the amazing views you’ll find on the Persimmon course.
In addition to the golf course, Persimmon features 9 post tension hard courts, including a stadium court. These courts can be used for tennis and pickleball.
Both clubhouses feature beautiful swimming facilities perfect for solo exercise or an afternoon of fun in the sun with the kids. If you’re feeling extra energetic they even have a Tabata class in the water (along with a long list of other aquatic classes)
The fitness facilities offer an array of group classes, or equipment if you prefer to workout solo!
If you’re tired after a long day on the golf course you can always schedule an appointment at the spa. They always have different specials going on so make sure you check online before you book!
The Persimmon Bar & Grille is a perfect spot to stop for dinner, and I am telling you if you haven’t been to Pasta Night on Thursday, or sat out on the patio and watched the sunset with a cocktail, you have NOT lived! The hours and menu vary so make sure you give them a call to make your reservation beforehand.
IRONWOOD
Our next stop on the tour was Ironwood.
Our first stop at Ironwood was the gym. Personally, this is my favorite of the two gyms. They have so many classes from stretching to boxology. Or, you can always do your own thing in the weight and cardio area.
Next stop was the dining room. Ironwood is the perfect spot to stop for lunch when you get off the golf course. It’s also THE place to be on Friday nights for happy hour. Both Ironwood and Persimmon feature a number of special events and menus depending on the time of year and day of the week, so you’ll want to get on their email list.
Ironwood also features a beautiful pool for members to use. It is a great place to exercise or spend a relaxing afternoon working on your tan and staying cool.
Let’s head out on the course. The Ironwood Golf course is said to be the more challenging of the two courses. You’ll have to watch the full video (https://youtu.be/lSY2c04gWug) to see some of the amazing views Ironwood has to offer.
DAISY MOUNTAIN
Alright, as we promised at the start of this blog post, we are going to show you our favorite hike in Anthem. Hiking to the top of Daisy Mountain is a great way to spend a morning. It is a moderately strenuous hike so you are going to want to bring lots of water, good hiking shoes, and stay on the lookout for snakes. My favorite spot to access this hike is inside the country club gates on W Silver Pine Drive, just east of Olympic Fields CT. The trailhead isn’t well marked but I promise once you find it, and hike up the views are so worth it.
